Through the "Spinning Highs" and "Flipping Lows!!" MP remains a crowd favourite and is one of the most passionately supported drivers on the NZ Speedway Circuit!

What do you do when you've won everything you can in a Midget but still want to go faster and win more...you jump into a 900hp winged sprint car and have a crack at the legends of the class! McLaren 570S GT4

The FIA GT4 Class is relatively new to the International race scene but has already taken off in Europe and America with fields of 40+ a regular occurrence! With factory built GT4 Spec entries from manufactures like Audi, Aston Martin, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Maserati, McLaren, Mercedes and Porsche the class is sure gain momentum especially amongst amateur and gentleman drivers! The GVI / VINZ McLaren 570S GT4 joins a host of other GT4 cars already here in NZ and we have already enjoyed success against the more powerful GT3 and Open Class cars!

Brendon Hartley

From small town Palmerston North to the most famous race circuits in Europe, Brendon Hartley truly is living his dream! Driving everything from Open Wheeled Formula Cars to Le Mans LMP2 Endurance Machines the young kiwi is making his mark on the prestigious European Racing Fraternity. A Le Mans 24 Hour Winner and 2 times WEC Series Champion, Brendon has moved from driving for the Porsche Factory LMP1 Team to the ultimate drive....Formula 1!!

Brendon drives for the Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula 1 Team and is only the 10th Kiwi to have ever driven F1 with the last being in 1984!!
All eyes are on the young kiwi as he carries the hopes and dreams of our nation on his shoulders! GO KIWI!!

Spoon S2000 #75

For the last three years GVI / VINZ have competed in the Mahindra North Island Endurance Series which runs as a three round winter series in the north island. We have campaigned Class 3 (1600cc - 2000cc) in an Ex-Spoon Sports Honda S2000 Endurance Car and have successfully won the class championship two out of the three years entered! This is a fantastic series and endurance racing is growing in popularity in New Zealand with large fields of over 35 vehicles entered in both the 1 and 3 hour events! The series has also attracted a growing number of state of the art International GT3 spec vehicles such as the Audi R8 GT3, Chevrolet Camaro GT3, Chevrolet Corvette GT3, Ferrari GT3 and Porsche GT3! The racing is fast and competitive and although endurance racing is all about the long game the events feel more like a sprint race often finishing with fierce battles for the podium!

Ssangyong Actyon Racing - SARS

The inaugural 2014/2015 Season of the Ssangyong Actyon Racing Series was one of excitement and learning for the #04 Sleepyhead / Auckland Ssangyong team, the car piloted by Hayden Johnston. Starting off with a string of top 10 finishes and a win at Hampton Downs the team hit trouble mid season after being deliberately forced into the wall at Pukekohe and an unfortunate substantial accident at Hampton Downs.

Our team mate Ben Forrest peddled the #14 Test and Tag Ute and although it was his first time ever driving a racecar he managed to make an impact in the class with some solid finishes and some spectacular aerobatics!

The series saw some huge talent from all forms of motorsport getting involved the likes of Kenny Smith, Christina Orr, Kirk Stoneman and a host of hotshot young up-and-commers from the karting and single seater world.

2K Cup

Since its inception in 2013, GVI and Auckland Ssangyong have competed in the 2K Cup. This series has been an exciting addition to the Motorsport calender providing a platform for those new to Motorsport to compete and learn the craft that will take them through to a successful and enjoyable Motorsport carrier! It has also seen some very experienced drivers taking to the track in their $2,000 weapons and having just as much fun as in their $200,000 race cars!

John Jellie drove the #666 GVI Integra to victory in the inaugural 2K Cup race at Hampton Downs while Roman "Russian" Korobeinikov has retained top 5 finishes in every round in the #999 Auckland Ssangyong Integra. "Racing" Ray Williams now pilots the #121 GVI Integra and is chasing hard for a series win!

Brad Mosen NZ#7

GVI and Ssangyong are proud to again be part of the BSL Racing #7 Team for the 2013-2014 Speedway Season getting behind newly signed driver Brad Mosen. Brad who previously campaigned in the Team CRC Synergy V8 Midget comes to the team with fresh enthusiasm and a winning attitude and it out to scorch the dirt maintaining the midget crown for Team BSL / Auckland Ssangyong.
